Bad writers and their Worst Cars list…

Recently I’ve stumbled upon a bunch of lists on different online auto magazines and blogs, all titled as “Top 100 worst cars ever made” or “The 30 worst cars in the world”. Sounds like it’s going to be a fun read, but once I started sorting trough the list I found that many of the cars they listed are actually great cars and the writers omitted several way worse vehicles which makes me believe most journalists are biased towards their personal preferences or experiences.

One terrible example from Edmunds.com in which the author mentioned the 1979-1983 Datsun 280ZX on his list. He said the car was ugly, heavy and slow. I agree that the S130 is not the best looking of the Z family but the turbo version with pretty much the same horse power than the early 80′s Corvette and less weight (and less price) was a great car for the heavily emission controlled era. But the Z31 aka first gen 300ZX on it’s contrary was an absolute flop, now with even more weight, less style and terrible suspension all mated to a very poor and problematic V6 engine that even on it’s turbo version had only 20 ponies more than it’s predecessor it was a recipe for failure and hence the reason we don’t see many of those on the road anymore.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love all Z cars but that’s gotta be the Worse of them, I’ve seen many very nicely tricked out and fast as hell, but remember that we are talking about production vehicles on their stock form.

They also mentioned the Ariel Atom, Dodge Caliber SRT-4 and Ferrari Dino, do you think they are bad enough to be mentioned on the Worst list?? Like they committed some kind of sin and would never would be allowed in car heaven.

So I decided to come up with my own and ULTIMATE list of Worst Cars ever based on FACTS, but I will also redeem some cars from their infamous popularity as bad cars and will prove why they are actually great vehicles, so get ready for a Shake Down!!!!
